Sei es eine völlig unstrukturierte PowerPoint-Präsentation, bis hin zum Zittern, Stottern, komplettem Blackout und Schwei ausbruch aufgrund des Lampenfiebers während einer Präsentation. "Das menschliche Gehirn ist eine gro artige Sache. Es funktioniert vom Moment der Geburt an - bis zu dem Zeitpunkt, wo Du aufstehst, um eine Rede zu halten" (Mark Twain). Das Auftreten vor einem Publikum bereitet dem Präsentator Fragen auf, wie zum Beispiel "wie verhalte ich mich, wenn ich den roten Faden verliere?", "was mache ich, wenn die Präsentation durch Dritte gestört wird?" oder "welche Techniken kann ich effektiv gegen Lampenfieber einsetzen?" - sicherlich kommen hier für den einen oder anderen noch unzählige Fragen hinzu. Was eine Präsentation ist, das wei heutzutage so gut wie jeder, aber nicht jeder kennt die Ziele einer Präsentation, die für die Vorbereitung und Durchführung sehr wichtig sind. Präsentationen gehören in allen Bereichen des Geschäftslebens zum alltäglichen Erscheinungsbild, sie vermitteln als Handlungsempfehlung und sollen als Entscheidungsgrundlage dienen. Man trifft sich in kleinen und in grö eren Gruppen, es werden Schaubilder an die Wand geworfen und es werden danach Beschlüsse gefasst. Auf diese Weise wird über Erkenntnisse einer internen Arbeitsgruppe oder über die Leistungen neuer Produkte informiert. Präsentationen werden bei Tagungen und Kongressen gehalten, Geschäftsführer stellen neue Strategien vor oder die Berater präsentieren ihre Marktanalysen.
