Dazu kommt, da es den mathematischen Übungen oft an der nötigen Ver- bindung zu den Problemstellungen in den theoretischen naturwissenschaft- lichen Fächern fehlt. Dies ist um so mehr zu bedauern, als der die Mathematik als Hilfswissenschaft betreibende Student vielfach den Sinn der mathematischen Annahmen gar nicht erkennt. Es fehlt ihm oft an den nötigen Vorstellungen, während der mathematische Unterricht gleichzeitig an Wirkung als Vorbereitung für die theoretischen Fächer einbü t. Das vorliegende Büchlein möge dazu beitragen, den skizzierten Mängeln ent- gegenzuwirken.
