Sie kennen die Bedeutung, den Aufbau von Karten und den Nutzen der Legende sowie die Himmelsrichtungen oder auch landschaftliche Merkmale wie Gebirge und Flüsse. Dieses Wissen wenden sie beim Orientieren und Finden einer gesuchten Postkartenstadt an. Im Anschluss daran können sie ihre gesuchte Postkartenstadt auf der physischen als auch thematischen Deutschlandkarte finden und beschreiben. Beim anschlie enden Vorstellen ihrer Ergebnisse erfahren sich die SchülerInnen als kompetent. Der Lernzuwachs wird insbesondere dann sichtbar, wenn die SchülerInnen ihr angeeignetes Wissen nutzen, um ihre Postkartenstadt zu lokalisieren, anschlie end die Himmelsrichtungen nutzen, um ihre Postkartenstadt geografisch beschrieben zu können und Landmarken in der Umgebung erkennen und diese ebenfalls beschreiben können.
