Jen Maynard Campbell grew up in California, where she knew early in life she would be a writer. In school she was recognized for her poems and short stories and was encouraged by her English teachers to pursue her writing. In college she worked for the school newspaper and wrote a weekly inspirational opinion column that drew the attention and praise of the university regent. Having kept a journal from the age of eight and throughout most of her life, it wasn't hard to imagine writing a book. Yet, it wasn't until the death of her daughter Clarissa that Jen felt she had something worthy to write about. Jen's writing is raw and real, honest and hopeful. Unexpected Angel is her first book.
