Understanding the Bible is not as difficult as you may think. Practice applying 4 key principles, and you will be able to understand the Word of God much better than ever before.
In
Unlock Your Bible, Albert Elisha Oberdorfer outlines f
our basic steps to getting a better understanding of the Bible, then breaks each step down with
both scriptural and real-life examples. The teaching is interspersed with
large, colorful photographs and illustrations that bring some of the author's points to life while adding a
touch of humor. - Elizabeth Proske, USA
...
a real eye-opener ... even though I've been a minister for many years and training and discipling others, and am very much into reading Scripture, I was really ... freed in some areas .... - Peter Ahlman, founder of TO BE CONTINUED movement, MAKING DISCIPLES LIKE IN THE BOOK OF ACTS, Sweden
This is a very pleasant book to read,
a lot of creative and fun pictures with awesome design to help people understand the points. - Isaac Liu, Lead Pastor, All Nations Church, Eschborn, Germany
I wish I would have learned this years ago! - Tina Lewis, USA
Unlock Your Bible is
wonderfully refreshing and
very beneficial for new 'Jesus disciples' and for those who have been reading the Bible for years. Brother Albert begins by rightly acknowledging the Holy Spirit as our Teacher, the Revealer of Truth. We have to encounter Him to understand the Bible. He reminded me to always read the Bible in context asking: Who was this written for? What's the subject? Where does it begin & end.
And oh, I needed to be reminded:
"When you read the Bible, read it to see Jesus. Beholding is becoming!" "It's all about what Jesus has done for us!" He has many quotes that opened the eyes of my heart to see the subtle devices of the devil to fragment & stitch together concepts & doctrines that form traditions that divide and keep us from the simplicity & pure image of Christ.
As we read the Bible through what Albert Elisha calls
A Kingdom Template, we receive the grace to obey out of love, not duty.
"The ability to forgive is a miracle key. It unleashes the Holy Spirit in your life." As we see through the eyes of the Kingdom what Jesus has done for us, we forgive because we have been forgiven much.
As we behold Jesus in the Bible we are transformed into His likeness. As disciples of Jesus, that's what we want!
Everyone needs to read this book not just once, but several times!- Cindy Gower, Heart for the Harvest Intern'l, USA
This book is
a source of joy and deep spiritual feeding. It
kills a lot of sacred cows and reveals the truth of God's word in the heart of believers. It is not good only for early believers but for teachers also. We do wash ourselves regularly and this book does the same for us spiritually. I am very much touched by the
simplicity of the text that is right on without much theological blah blah. The
pictures are so well chosen and funny. The book is
very easy to read and yet it
touches you in your inner self where the Holy Spirit is aiming to change and transform us. I find Albert Elisha right on and as a fellow companion in the journey of LIFE, I salute him for his ability to bring simplicity to difficult subjects and for his ability to feed the hungry with the ''Bread of Life.''
I recommend the book to anyone who wants to stay pure in heart and under God's love and amazing grace.- Jean-Marc Mignot, Vietnam
