Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Politik - Allgemeines und Theorien zur Internationalen Politik, Note: 1,2, Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald (Institut für Politikwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Lektürekurs Internationale Beziehungen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ziel vorliegender Arbeit war zu zeigen, wie der Institutionalismus, Konstruktivismus, Liberalismus und Feminismus die Schwächen des Realismus aufarbeiten. Dafür wurden zunächst die Hauptannahmen des klassischen Realismus und Neorealismus dargestellt. Diese sind, dass einheitliche, rationale Staaten die Hauptakteure in einer anarchischen Welt sind und nach Macht- bzw. Sicherheitsmaximierung streben. In einem Selbsthilfesystem sind Staaten auf sich selbst angewiesen, was Kooperation erschwert. Diese Annahmen wurden schlie lich in Position zu den anderen Gro theorien gesetzt. Ergebnis war, dass der Institutionalismus im Gegensatz zum Realismus die Rolle internationaler Institutionen bei der Überwindung von Kooperationshindernissen hervorhebt. Der Konstruktivismus bestreitet, dass aus Anarchie logisch oder kausal Selbsthilfe folgt und betont stattdessen die Identitäts- und Interessensbildung von Staaten. Der Liberalismus zeigt die Wichtigkeit innenpolitischer Entscheidungsprozesse, besonders bei Demokratien, auf, die Auswirkungen auf au enpolitische Handlungen haben. Schlie lich wurde noch eine feministische Kritik am Realismus dargestellt. Der Feminismus fordert mehr weibliche Ansichten in den Internationalen Beziehungen. Abstract The target of this work, entitled "Unrealistic Realism?-Realism being put to test", was to reveal how Institutionalism, Constructivism, Liberalism and Feminism work off the realistic weak points.
