Unterrichtsentwurf aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich Didaktik - Politik, politische Bildung, Note: 1,7, Technische Universität Kaiserslautern, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der Unterrichtsentwurf zum Thema Wählen ab 16 Jahren richtet sich an Schülerinnen und Schüler, die gerade selbst in diesem Alter sind. Er geht deshalb intensiv auf die Problematik und bestehenden Diskussionen ein und gibt insbesondere Anregungen zur Interaktion im Unterrichtsgeschehen. Gerade hinsichtlich des Wahlalters hat es in der Vergangenheit immer wieder Nachbesserungen gegeben. 1871 erhielten alle Männer ab 25 Jahren das Recht, im neu gegründeten Deutschen Reich an Wahlen teilzunehmen. Nach dem Ende des Ersten Weltkriegs wurde in der Weimarer Republik das aktive Wahlrecht auf 20 Jahre herabgesetzt. Au erdem erhielten zum ersten Mal Frauen das Recht, ihre Stimme abzugeben. Erst 1970 wurden 18 Jahre festgelegt, zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren es noch vier Jahre, bis die Volljährigkeit herabgesetzt wurde. Seit Mitte der 90er-Jahre hat das Thema Wahlalter erneut an Bedeutung gewonnen. Sinkende Wahlbeteiligungen, zunehmende Politikverdrossenheit und die Herausforderungen des demografischen Wandels führen zu Überlegungen, die Jugend mit dem aktiven Wahlrecht stärker in die politische Entscheidungsfindung einzubeziehen.
