Einleitung Die Aufgabe des Ringspinn-/Ringzwirnprozesses besteht darin, dem vom Streckwerk der Spinn-/Zwirnmaschine zulaufenden Fa- serbändchen bzw. Doppelfaden eine Drehung zu erteilen und den gebildeten Faden (Zwirn) in Copform aufzuwickeln. Die wesent- lichen Grundelemente bei diesem Vorgang sind die rotierende, den GarnkBrper tragende Spindel, der Spinnring und der Läufer, der vom Faden nachgeschleppt wird und auf dem Ring eine Kreis- bahn durchläuft. Die Kombination von Läufer und Ring bestimmt die Leistung einer Spinn- oder Zwirnmaschine, d. h. die er- reichbare Maximalgeschwindigkeit des Läufers auf dem Ring, die wesen der Zentrifugalkraft u. a. vom Ringdurchmesser ab- hängt (1). Wesentlich fUr die maximale Läufergeschwindigkeit ist ferner das GleitvermBgen des Läufers auf dem Ring, da bei ungünstigen Reibungsverhältnissen der Läufer schnell ver- schlei t. Die Gefahr einer vorzeitigen LäuferzerstBrung ist vor allem dann gegeben, wenn sich der Läufer infolge seiner Reibung am Ring stark erwärmt und dadurch an Härte einbU t (1-5).
