Es sollen aus diesem Komplex moderner Formen der Arbeits- beanspruchung jene Inhaltsformen im Rahmen dieses Projektes einer experimen- tellen Untersuchung zugeführt werden, bei denen es vornehmlich auf die Bean- spruchung der Aufmerksamkeit und Konzentration ankommt. Alle anderen Belastungsformen, die sich für den Menschen aus den veränderten Arbeitsbedin- gungen ergeben, wie z. B. die zunehmende Taktbindung, das wachsende Arbeits- tempo in der Tätigkeitszeit, die steigende Verantwortung, aber auch die erhöhte Lärmbelastung usw., sollen hier unberücksichtigt bleiben. So kann das Ziel der nachfolgend dargestellten Versuche darin gesehen werden, die leistungsmä igen Auswirkungen einer Dauerbeanspruchung der Aufmerksamkeit und Konzentra- tion unter reproduzierbaren Bedingungen zu untersuchen. Innerhalb des so ab- gesteckten Rahmens werden noch weitere Einschränkungen unerlä lich sein, auf die später hingewiesen wird. 1. 1 Der gegenwärtige Stand der Wachsamkeitsforschung 1. 11 Definitionen und Untersuchungsmethoden In den letzten bei den Jahrzehnten ist eine ständig wachsende Anzahl von Unter- suchungen veröffentlicht worden, die sich mit der Frage der menschlichen Lei- stungsfähigkeit in Dauerbeobachtungssituationen beschäftigen.
