Ure's dictionary of Arts, Manufactures and Mines was originally published in 1842. This is the greatly expanded 7th edition of 1875 consisting of 3 large volumes with over 2100 added wood engravings. Also included is the 1878 Volume 4: Supplement which included updates to the 1875 edition with the latest advancements to that time. It has been reprinted as an eight volume set.
