Clarence W. Shook was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1948. After continuing his education at Midwestern University for four years he served his military obligation in Bordeaux, France during the Korean War. First he was Supply Clerk, Co. B 469th EAB. Later he transferred to 924th EAB as Supply Sergeant, Well Drilling Operation in France and Spain. Clarence owned his own asphalt paving and dirt contracting business in Wichita Falls and continued his dirt construction in Stephens, Cotton and Jeffereson Counties in Oklahoma before retiring. Through out his tour in France and other travels a camera was always close at hand.
