Does Scripture verify that there was only one Church which Christ left as His Church upon the earth once He left? Of course He did. Yet many through ignorance of the Scriptures fail to recognize exactly how Christ set up the heirachy of His Church and which people were organized to spread His Gospel. Scripture proves that God wanted the Romans to be established as His Church heirarchy. The proof is in the households that both Peter and Paul visited directly after Christ rose from the dead.

Peter was directly sent to a Roman household to preach Christ. Why? Because God was establishing the heirarchy of the Church. Peter was sent to the Gentiles. Paul likewise. But who were the Gentiles according to Scripture? We find in Scripture that one of the sons of Noah begat the Gentile nations. The Gentiles were NOT just anyone who was not a Jew. The Gentile nations were nations that were the descendants of a particular son of Noah. It was these nations to whom Peter and Paul were sent to. These nations would be the ones to began spreading the Gospel outside of Jerusalem.

This is where the early Church began, and following this as our direction, we find that the Romans became what is called the Catholic Church which seems to be dispised by many other Christian sect, yet has not changed its doctrine which it has held from its inception. All other Christian sects have splintered into many factions. Yet, it is the Catholic Church which has maintained stability where its doctrines are concerned.
