Venezuela als ein Entwicklungsbeispiel für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland darzustellen, erscheint zunächst unpassend, zumal auf den ersten Blick sozioökonomische Unterschiede zwischen dem Lateinamerikanischen Kontinent und der Europäischen Union nicht von der Hand zu weisen sind. Hinzu kommt die allgemeine Unkenntnis oder vielleicht auch Ignoranz in Europa über Vorgänge und Entwicklungen in Lateinamerika. Kann tatsächlich ein Bezug zwischen beiden Staaten hergestellt werden, oder gibt es doch zu viele unterschiedliche Variablen um eine Verbindung herstellen zu können? Der Wohlstand, der sich in den Mitgliedsstaaten der früheren Europäischen Gemeinschaft und insbesondere in der Bundesrepublik seit dem zweiten Weltkrieg manifestiert hat, ist ein gutes "Todschlagargument" für jeglichen Diskussionsbeginn über diese Thematik. Zudem ist in der Bundesrepublik seit ihrer Gründung eine intensive Bildungsoffensive gegen totalitäres Gedankengut praktiziert worden und auch die Demokratie scheint, trotz öfter vorkommender Warnungen durch Führungspositionen etablierter Parteien, auf einem festen Fundament zu stehen. Intensiviert man jedoch die wissenschaftliche Recherche und berücksichtigt die parlamentarische Entwicklung ideologischer Parteien seit der Wiedervereinigung, so können Zweifel an der gegenwärtigen Argumentationsgrundlage entstehen. Einerseits haben staatsfeindliche und auch ideologische Strukturen in Ansätzen ihren Platz in Gesellschaft und Parlamenten finden können.
