Trennschleifer sind universell einsetzbare Werkzeuge und deshalb fur Anwendungen in Berufund Freizeit weit verbreitet. Allein in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland wurden 1994 nach einer Auf- stellung des Statistischen Bundesamtes insgesamt 3.538.445 elektrisch angetriebene Trenn- und Geradschleifer produziert /1/. Geradschleifer und Trennschleifer werden vom Statistischen Bun- desamt in einer Statistik gefuhrt. Diese Produktionsziffer (Bild 2) unterstreicht die wichtige Stel- lung dieser Werkzeuge. Das Werkzeug Trennschleifer, das im Mittelpunkt dieser Arbeit steht, ist jedoch auch ein sehr unfalltrachtiges Arbeitsmittel (Bild 3). Seit vielen Jahren werden von techni- schen Aufsichtsbehorden, Interessens- verbanden sowie Werkzeug-und Trenn- scheibenherstellern intensive Bemtihun- gen unternommen, durch qualitativ ver- besserte Scheiben und intensiver Auf- klarungsarbeit tiber die Risiken beim Umgang mit diesem gefahrlichen Werk- zeug das Arbeiten mit dem Trennschlei- fer sicherer zu machen. Oer Erfolg die- ser Bemlihungen wird in der seit 1961 kontinuierlich gesunkenen Gesamtzahl der Arbeitsunfalle sichtbar /3/. Der freihandgefuhrte elektrisch ange- triebene Trennschleifer (Bild I) ist ein herausragendes Beispiel fur ein Ar- beitsmittel, das zwar als robust und wenig storanfallig gilt, jedoch in def Un- fallstatistik, im Gegensatz zu der insge- sam! riicklaufigen Zahl von melde- pflichtigen Arbeitsunfallen, iiber- Bild I: Freihand-Trennen mit dem Trennschleifer /2/ dUfchschnittlich haufig aufgefuhrt wird.
