Ihre Einsatzh�ufigkeit ist in den letzten Jahren besonders in der privaten Kommunikation stark gestiegen und auch die Unterschiedlichkeit der Einsatzm�glichkeiten ist angewachsen. Die These, dass der uneinheitliche Gebrauch der Auslassungspunkte zum einen auf variierende Funktion und Anwendung im Laufe der Geschichte, zum anderen auf die uneinheitlichen Regeln in Anwendungshandb�chern zur�ckzuf�hren ist, sowie auf den geringen Stellenwert des Lehrens und Findens einheitlicher Regeln, best�tigt sich durch die Analyse aktueller Regelwerke und den Blick in die Geschichte. Ein Augenmerk gilt der Verwendung von Punkten in der Werbe-, Comic- und Computersprache und den unterschiedliche Funktionen, die sie in diesen Textgattungen erf�llen. Schreiber der Online-Gruppe "Leute, die S�tze gern mit drei Punkten beenden...", m�chten durch den vermehrten Einsatz von Auslassungspunkten ihre Kreativit�t und Stimmung ausdr�cken. Sie betonen, dass sie durch den Einsatz von Auslassungspunkten ihr Gegen�ber zum Nachdenken bringen wollen und stellen h�ufig eigene, durchdachte Theorien auf, was ihre Interpunktion zu bedeuten hat.

Mareike Hachemer (Studienratin der Facher Englisch und Deutsch) studierte Germanistik, Anglistik, Philosophie und Erziehungswissenschaft an der Johannes Gutenberg-Universitat Mainz mit den Schwerpunkten Neuere Literaturwissenschaft und Sprachwissenschaft. Hier untersuchte sie unter anderem die Darstellung verschiedener geistiger und psychsicher Krankheiten in der Literatur des 20. Jahrhunderts. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der Kinder- und Jugendliteraturforschung und der Unterrichtsdidaktik. Seit 2008 ist Mareike Hachemer Redaktionsmitglied von interjuli, Zeitschrift fur internationale Kinder- und Jugendliteraturforschung. Als Dozentin in German Studies thematisierte sie Kinder- und Jugendliteratur auch mit internationalen Studenten an der University of Otago in Dunedin, Neuseeland. seit 2010 veroffentlicht Mareike Hachemer auch didaktische Texte insbesondere zu Fremdsprachendidaktik und Literaturunterricht. Sie unterrichtet Deutsch und Englisch am Beruflichen Gymnasium und der Fachoberschule und absolviert eine Weiterbildung zur Lehrerin fur Theater/Darstellendes Spiel.
