Antonella Amoruso, senior deputy of Milan's anti-terrorism police, receives a call to return to her Naples hometown for the funeral of a family member murdered in a Camorra clan feud.

Amoruso is plunged into the dangerous culture of Camorra, Naple's violent criminal syndicate, that thrives on illegal drugs, prostitution, extortion, and murder. Her goal is to rescue her family from Camorra's deadly grip.

Erickson, Jack: - Jack Erickson writes in multiple genres: international thrillers, mysteries, true crime, short mysteries, and romantic suspense. He is currently writing the Milan Thriller series featuring the antiterrorism police, DIGOS, at Milan's Questura (police headquarters). Book 1 in the series is Thirteen Days in Milan. Book 2, No One Sleeps, was published in 2017. Book 4 in the series, The Lonely Assassin, will be published in 2020. The models for Erickson's thrillers are three popular Italian mystery series: Donna Leon's Commissario Brunetti (Venice), Andrea Camilleri's Inspector Salvo Montalbano (Sicily), and Michael Dibdin's Commissario Aurelio Zen (Rome). All three have been produced as TV series on networks such as BBC, PBS, RAI, or Deutsche Welle. Erickson travels throughout Italy to research and sample Italian contemporary life and culture. Earlier in life, he was an Air Force officer, a U.S. Senate speechwriter, a Washington-based editor, and publisher for RedBrick Press. He wrote and published several books on the emerging craft-brewing industry, including the award-winning Star Spangled Beer: A Guide to America's New Microbreweries and Brewpubs. He lives in Northern California with his wife. Sign up for Erickson's email newsletter at: www.jackerickson.com www.RedBrickPress.net
