"Victory of the Dead" isn't an original story of the living dead and there isn't anything in the story that will blow the reader away. There are no philosophical musings on life and death, nor are there any surprises that will freak the reader out because they never saw it coming. In fact, if you read a lot of zombie novels, this one will probably sound a lot like the other gazillion stories out there nowadays. But if you like a good old-fashioned survival story where people are dealing with the living dead and trying to survive, with lots of gratuitous blood and gore thrown in for pure shock value, then this may be the book for you.
