Die Aufzah- lung lieBe sich fortfUhren; sie zeigt aber schon in ihrer Unvoll- standigkeit, wie vielfaltig die Beruhrungspunkte der Bioakustik zu anderen Forschungszweigen sind, und nicht zuletzt darin liegt der Reiz, sich mit Tierstimmen zu befassen. In dem hier vorgeleg- ten Uberblick habe ich die Bedeutung der Vogelstimmen als Verstandigungsmittel und als Evolutionsfaktor ausfUhrlicher be- handelt, wei 1 besonders diese Gebiete vielversprechende Ansatz- punkte fur neue Untersuchungen geliefert haben.
