Kapitel Expansions- und Kontraktionsprozesse des Sozialprodukts, die Konjunkturschwankungen und das wirtschaftliche Wachstum untersucht werden. Das 3. Kapitel f�hrt in das Gebiet "Geld und Kredit" ein und behandelt insbesondere auch die heutigen, kontrovers diskutierten Konzepte der Geld- und Kreditpolitik. Das 4. Kapitel schlie lich behandelt Probleme der Besch�ftigungstheorie und -politik, darunter auch die Zusammenh�nge zwischen Arbeitslosigkeit und Inflation, und f�hrt bis an die Theorie der rationalen Erwartungen heran. Es schlie t mit der h�ufig vernachl�ssigten Darstellung des Arbeitsmarktes der Bundesrepublik und zeigt die politischen Eingriffe in diesen. Die Darstellung soll verstehen helfen, warum sich eine nach fr�heren Ma st�ben unerh�rt hohe Arbeitslosigkeit als so dauerhaft erweist. In allen Kapiteln werden Bez�ge zur Volkswirtschaft der Bundesrepublik Deutschland hergestellt.
