But Sam has a secret, one he can only allude to with the title of his poem, "Silver Trees." As Sarah tries to understand her new boyfriend, she comes to find that he has a dark past and even darker intentions for his future.

When a detective begins seeing patterns in random murders, he begins to wonder if they are indeed random.
