She is a retired educator who is actively involved in a church/school partnership with a local school in the Houston area for the past ten years. A member of Inspiration Writers Alive, she won an award in an open writing competition on for her story Skimming the Dross. Cherri, who resides in Houston, Texas, with her husband, Mark, is the mother of two sons and grandmother of three. When not writing, she enjoys telling stories as her Victorian character, Miss Delphinia Beasley, to children and adults alike.
