A Photographic record of sites and views that people miss, but can see every day in the rush and tumble of our modern life . These are not the famous or well known landmarks of the beautifull Prince Edward Island, but the things that may be around that next corner or, over that next hill, even what can be seen by just stepping out of the car and walking a few feet away from the road.

The first in a series of books highlighting the beauty of our Canadian Atlantic coast. The first in a series of books on Prince Edward Island and the Atlantic coast of Canada.

Conyard, Richard W. J.: - I think of myself as some one with a passion for the visual aspect of photography, being happy to use my old FM2 or one of my newer digital camera's. The gadgets are great but the pleasure is in the eye, what I see and record. Starting in photography way back in the 70's at art collage, getting my first job as a darkroom tech and growing with that company to learn every aspect of the developing and printing process . One of the great benefits was meeting and learning from many skilled photographers in commercial and the art side of the business. As a young keen photo enthusiast I tried all aspects of photography not only the lab, but portraits, weddings, press, sports every thing that might pay me enough for a decent camera and allow me to learn more . I think back to those crazy days in real darkrooms with chemicals up to your arm pits and film in all different sizes for the various camera formats and printing and dodging with great sheets of photo paper, oh and that terrible feeling you had until you had developed your film and new you had something awesome . Great days they were, so 40 or so years later I am still at it, learning new tech but at my own pace and still finding beauty every where I look .
