Der Konstruktivismus postuliert, dass Wissen nicht das Ergebnis eines Abbildes im Sinne des Entdeckens einer objektiv vorliegenden Wirklichkeit ist. Es ist vielmehr das Ergebnis eines Erfindens der Wirklichkeit. Individuen werden zu Künstlern ihrer eigenen Wirklichkeitskonstruktion. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist das am 30. Mai 2012 gehaltene Referat im Medienethik-Seminar zu verschriftlichen. Das Referat war ein eigenständiger Beitrag und in Laufe dessen wurden die Grundlagen des Konstruktivismus vorgestellt. Das Re-ferat ging nicht in die Tiefe, da der zweite Referent in seinem eigenständigen Beitrag die hier genannten theoretischen Inhalte vertiefte. Im laufe dieser Arbeit sollen Antworten auf folgende relevante Fragestellungen gefunden werden: Was ist unter Konstruktivismus zu verstehen? Gibt es die objektive Wirklichkeit? Wie können Medien und Konstruktivismus in Verbindung gebracht werden? Die Vorgehensweise dieser Arbeit ist hermeneutisch, die herangezogenen Be-funde werden argumentativ untermauert und können auf einer sehr abstrakten und theoretischen Ebene angesiedelt werden. Es wird deutlich, dass Konstruktivismus ein sehr breiter Begriff ist, in welchen diverse interdisziplinäre Strömungen einflie en. Anzumerken ist jedoch, dass diese auf einen gemeinsamen Nenner gebracht werden können. Dieser wird in laufe der Arbeit erarbeitet. Um entsprechend in das Thema einzuleiten, beginnt der Beitrag mit den Wurzeln des Konstruktivismus (2. Kapitel). Im nächsten Kapitel werden die Annahmen der Denkweise charakterisiert. Im drauffolgenden Abschnitt (4. Kapitel) wird eine kurze Skizze der Varianten des Konstruktivismus vorgestellt. Somit kann die Breit
