Durch diese veränderte Klientel werden Lehrer, Erzieher und andere in diesem Bereich Tätige vor gro e Herausforderungen gestellt. Als Hilfestellung kann sich der Praktiker mit der Hörgeschädigten- und der Verhaltensgestörtenpädagogik beschäftigen. In Kapitel 2 werden die Begriffe Verhaltensauffälligkeit und Gehörlosigkeit erläutert, bevor im 3. Kapitel die Ergebnisse empirischer Studien zur steigenden Häufigkeit von Verhaltensauffälligkeiten bei Gehörlosen vorgestellt und diskutiert werden. Au erdem wird gezeigt, ob es bestimmte gehörlosentypische Verhaltensauffälligkeiten gibt. Danach wird in Kapitel 4 analysiert, welche Erklärungen es für die Auffälligkeiten bei gehörlosen Kindern und Jugendlichen gibt - differenziert in die drei Bereiche Kind, Eltern und Fachleute. In Kapitel 5 werden in einer vergleichbaren Struktur Handlungsmöglichkeiten gezeigt. Ziele des Buches sind eine theoretische Einführung in den Themenkomplex Verhaltensstörungen bei Gehörlosen und praktische Hinweise zu den Handlungsmöglichkeiten zu geben.

Frank Alibegovic studierte Padagogik, Soziologie, Psychologie und Sonderpadagogik und schloss sein universitares Studium 2008 mit dem akademischen Grad als Diplom-Padagoge ab. Seit 2000 beschaftigt er sich mit Gehorlosigkeit und Gebardensprachkultur und lernte die Deutsche Gebardensprache (DGS). Er wirkte in verschiedenen Projekten fur und mit Gehorlosen mit und setzte sich wissenschaftlich mit der Gehorlosenpadagogik und der Verhaltensgestortenpadagogik auseinander. Seit mehreren Jahren ist er zudem als Fachberatung fur Kindertageseinrichtungen tatig."
