It was death that brought us together.If it was not for her, I would have never looked His way.I was not looking for friendship either when I approached Him. I did not think such a thing was possible.I needed a miracle and I was hoping He would take pity on me and grant me one.There was no one else I could go to. Only God. Only He had the power to rule over death.That's why I went to Him and talked to Him as if I had never left. It was not the time to be dwelling on who left who. It was not the time to be digging up the past. I wondered if I had any time left at all.Death took a shine to me and somehow thought I reciprocated her kindness.She entered my life and planned to stay. She did not say much but then she did not have to say anything. Her presence was a poignant message.Every now and again I sensed her stare at me or noticed her cold breath on my heart. Tiny reminders in case I forgot about our friendship.There was not really time to be dwelling on the crimes of the past. I really needed God to help me get rid of my friend. Again.I did not plan on making it easy for her.I wondered if I was surprising her a little with my fight. I could almost see her sarcastic smile, looking at me triumphantly, whispering to herself that this silly human thought she could conquer death.Yeah, you could say I was in a pickle.
