Dieser Ausspruch macht relativ schnell deutlich, dass man sich nicht nur ganz lapidar mit Freiheit besch�ftigen kann, sondern dass hinter diesem jedem bekannten Wort eine ganze F�lle von Interpretation verborgen ist, die es zu erschlie en gilt. Was bedeutet Freiheit? Wie kann sie erreicht werden? In welchem Ma ist sie gew�hrbar? Wie muss sie gegebenenfalls eingeschr�nkt werden? Dies sind Fragen, die besch�ftigen, wenn man sich mit der Freiheit im politischen Sinne besch�ftigt. Es soll hier darum gehen, Freiheit aus dem Blickwinkel der Politik zu betrachten. Genauer gesagt: Welchen Einfluss und welchen Gestaltungsspielraum hat die Politik auf die Freiheit der Menschen und welche �berlegungen stehen dahinter? Der anfangs wiedergegebene Satz von Matthias Claudius sagt, dass Freiheit mit der Nichtsch�digung Dritter zusammenh�ngt. Dies soll den Schwerpunkt bilden: In welchem Ma e ist Freiheitseinschr�nkung sinnvoll, m�glich und notwendig, um eventuell gewisse Freiheiten f�r jedermann zu garantieren? Eine Freiheit ohne ihre gleichzeitige Begrenzung kann nicht existieren, da eine absolute Freiheit sich selbst ad absurdum f�hren w�rde.
