A dedicated educator, he retired as Director of The Harrell Learning Center in Georgia, focusing on emotionally conflicted children and youth. With nine years of university teaching and twenty-two years as a public-school principal, he has authored several works, including The Conflict Resolution Curriculum for Children in Emotional Conflict and I Think, Therefore I Am, probably wrong! His research emphasizes learner engagement and active learning.
