University lecturer and former forensic investigator Ed Sampson discovers that an apparent natural disaster was actually caused by a mysterious rogue satellite. When he finds out that the power behind the incident intends to use a new technology to create a space-based weapons system that will permanently alter the world's climate, he is thrown headlong into a nightmare. With investigative teams drawing blanks, and with death stalking him at every turn, Sampson follows the trail to the European Space Agency and a solar furnace high in the Pyrenees. He soon realises that the free world is threatened by a conspiracy so terrifying that even the superpowers must face the prospect of annihilation. Liam McCann's science-fiction thriller takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride and lends itself perfectly to adaptation as a major Hollywood blockbuster.

Liam McCann was born in Guildford, England, in 1973. He attended Hurstpierpoint College and Staffordshire University, gaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Physiology and Psychology. Growing up, he excelled on the sports field, becoming county champion in three of the athletics field events and swimming to a national standard. He went on to win a British University medal in 1993. Liam then formed a rock band that toured Europe. Highlights included supporting Jools Holland in 2001 and playing to six thousand people in 2014. In 2003 he turned his hand to writing non-fiction sports and reference books. He has since had 28 published and is now working on completing his action / thriller series featuring hero Ed Sampson.
