Why Anything Anyway is about 'The Unified Theory of Conscious Enlightenment' the purpose of which is to reveal the secretes of most, if not all, spiritual practices and to illustrate common sense tools and how to apply them. These tools are immediately attainable and can establish a shared understanding amongst us so that we can truly advance both our individual and collective consciousness. As long as we get stuck in semantics, dogmatic practices, neo-spiritual diversions, bible babble and rituals, there will be little progress if any. You could also say this book is about mind stretching and throughout the book you will receive more and more mind stretching ideas that you can use both by yourself and with others. There are approximately 150 subjects covered in this book and it is best viewed as a workbook or manual of consciousness to be read and reread. You will understand different things on different levels depending on where you are at in your personal work and experience at any given moment.

Elliot Laurence is dedicated to the advancement of human psychological achievement, through balance of both our given senses and ones that can be developed. In 1974, after he and others searched the world for schools of higher knowledge, its founder Elliot Laurence finally discovered some hidden esoteric Ideas. He spent 39 years practicing what he has learned, the first three years of which living in a secluded retreat, just studying and applying its principals. He has also studied, Buddhism, Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, Sufism, Gnostics, Kaballa, Esoteric Christianity, the Egyptian Book of The Dead, the Tibetan Book Of the Dead, The Dhammapada, Lao Tsu, Iching and many others practices and rituals. Since that time, he has traveled through Europe and the United States sharing these ideas to a select few who were also committed to personal conscious enlightenment. Now through the wonders of the internet it is possible to introduce these ideas to a greater population.
