The time has come for an educated electorate to step forth and preserve the Republic. As today's news broadcasts settle into the unread pages of history where the details are often forgotten; spun by politicians into something that never was or they simply sink into obscurity waiting for a concerned citizen to slap us in the face and open our eyes to the reality of the truths of history. This is the book that awakens us and urges us to action as a concerned citizen and educated electorate. Jaded eyes open with understanding when the carefully crafted Constitution of our Founding Fathers is compared and contrasted with the structure of our current government. As the words of the Founding Fathers are released from the unread, long forgotten records of their intentions for the future of the country they organized. The slow transformation is traced through the Theodore Roosevelt administration through the Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt administrations to the imperial presidency of Barack Obama leaving the reader to determine for himself, Why Vote for the Democrats?" Doubts vanish as the contrasts between the Democrats and Republican's fought on the field of battle in the Civil War and in the halls of Congress to determine the course of slavery and the Freedmen who finally escaped the shackles of slavery in the land of the free. That story is never told by the Republicans and speedily glossed over by the Democrats but recorded history reveals the truth of who did what to whom and why the history has been untold. As another wedge of documented truth is revealed to assist the reader in answering the overriding question, "Why Vote For The Democrats?" The answer to that overriding question is left to the reader's discretion.

Carl T. Rogers is uniquely qualified to write a book covering such a wide expanse of history and its impact upon the culture of the United States that is being ignored and forgotten. He lived through what he has written being born in the Herbert Hoover administration. Growing through adolescence through the Great Depression of the Roosevelt administration; going to war in the Truman administration; teaching High School and College courses during the Kennedy and Johnson and succeeding administrations. He earned a Ph.D. degree in 1981 planning for his third career but retired to become a political activist defeating attempts to bring gambling casinos into his city of residence., finally deciding to retire to travel to England, Scotland, Wales, Korea, Hong Kong and China with self-guided side trips to Canada and Mexico. Beset with age-related problems, he and his wife of 56 years decided to enjoy a life of being active parents to three daughters and Grandparents to three Grandsons and three Granddaughters. Although he has published an article entitled, The Forgotten Mission of the Forgotten War in the Friends Journal for the Air Force Museum Foundation which was included in the book entitled, "The Forgotten War", this is his first book, written at the age of 86 years of experience, overcoming the disability of age with a vivid memory of the past and an active disdain for the future his beloved country is destined to experience unless the people of the United States learn their history, respect their Constitutional rights and become actively engaged in becoming a member of the educated electorate.
