Barbarossa", Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der vorliegenden Arbeit besch�ftige ich mich mit Friedrich Barbarossas Italienpolitik in der Zeit nach seiner Kr�nung zum Kaiser. Welche Ziele verfolgte er und welche Situation lag im Jahr 1154 in Italien vor, als der Kaiser seinen ersten Italienzug unternahm? Schnell wird der Interessenkonflikt deutlich werden, ahand dessen sich die Entstehung der Widerstandsbewegung durch die Kommunen Italiens erkl�ren l�sst. Hier soll untersucht werden, welchen Einfluss der Umgamg Friedrichs I. mit den Kommunen, der Reichstag von Roncaglia und die Mitschuld des Kaisers am Pastschisma dazu beigetragen haben, dass es zur Bildung der Lega Lombara, des lombardischen St�dtebunds, kommt. Wie war dieser St�dtebund verfasst und wie suchte er, sich auf die Konfrontation mit dem Kaiser vorzubereiten? Diesen Fragen gehe ich nach und werde dabei auch die in der g�ngigen deutschen Literatur weniger stark vertretene Perspektive aus Sicht der italienischen St�dte darstellen. Zudem werde ich die verschiedenen Formen des Widerstands gegen die kaiserliche Herrschaft untersuchen. Im Anschluss nehme ich eine Evaluierung der Motive, die hinter den Entscheidungen Friedrichs I. stehen, in Angriff. War es in der Hauptsache die Ehre des Reichs, genannt honor imperii, die Friedrichs Handeln bestimmte oder handelte es sich mehrheitlich doch um materielle, finanzielle und machtpolitische Interessen?
