He has received the SHENZHIKANG Teaching Award from Tianjin University and his research areas include Embedded Computing and Control, Intelligent Robotic Systems.

Zhang, Zhen: - Zhen Zhang is a Professor in Electrical Engineering at Tianjin University and Chair of IEEE Beijing Section IES Chapter (Tianjin). He is an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, and IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine. He is the recipient of the 2020 Outstanding Paper Award for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, and the IEEE J. David Irwin Early Career Award.
