Ausgangspunkt der vorliegenden Untersuchungen ist die fachwissenschaftliche Ar- beitsteilung, wie sie sich insbesondere in den Sozialwissenschaften herausgebildet hat. Sie lassen sich als logisch und erkenntnistheoretisch kennzeichnen. In welchem Sinne sie diesen Attributen gerecht zu werden trachten, solI an einer Kritik der Ar- beitsteilung der btirgerlichen Sozialwissenschaften gezeigt werden. Es stellt sich zu- nachst die Frage, wie das Instrumentarium der Kritik beschaffen sein kann und muB. Hier ist hOchste Sachlichkeit geboten, da diesbeziigliche Instrumente nicht unbedingt bereit stehen. Es kommt darauf an, Instrumente der Kritik zu entwickeln oder er- proben. Die gesellschaftliche Arbeitsteilung ist ein Thema der Marxschen Theorie. Da die wissenschaftliche "Arbeitsteilung" nur eine Form der gesellschaftlichen Arbeitstei- lung ist, liegt es nahe, an die Marxsche Theorie anzukniipfen und eine Auf- und Er- klarung der Beziehung zwischen gesellschaftlicher und fachwissenschaftlicher Ar- beitsteilung zu erwarten. Die politische Okonomie konnte als wissenschaftliche Lo- sung des Problems par excellence erscheinen. Denn sie liefert eine Erklarung des Sy- stems einer beziehungsweise der kapitalistischen Gesellschaft, besser gesagt: der To- tali tat der Bestimmungen der kapitalistischen Gesellschaft. Offen bleibt jedoch, wie die Instrumente der Kritik der politischen Okonomie (die im emphatischen Sinne alsMarxsche Theorie bezeichnet werden solI) genutzt werden kannen, wenn es urn 1 die Formulierung einer Erkenntnistheorie geht. Anstatt in dieser Beziehung kein Problem zu sehen, ist es natig, eine Antwort auf die Frage zu finden, was die Kritik der politischen Okonomie wissenschaftlich zu leisten vermag und was nicht.
