Betrachtet werden dabei die Bevölkerungsstruktur Deutschlands und die unterschiedlichen Generationen, um später auf das Verhältnis der Generationen untereinander eingehen zu können. Anschlie end werden die Auswirkungen des demografischen Wandels auf die Automobilbranche benannt. Im zweiten Teil wird zunächst der Wissensbegriff erläutert, da dieser für die Ausarbeitung der Arbeit von essentieller Bedeutung ist. Dabei ist es zunächst wichtig zu verstehen, welche Definition(-en) dem Begriff Wissen zugeordnet wird, welche Wissensarten es gibt und worin sich implizites und explizites Wissen bzw. individuelles und kollektives Wissen unterscheiden. Es wird auch speziell auf die Besonderheiten des Erfahrungswissens eingegangen. Die Erläuterung dieser Wissensarten ist insbesondere für das Verständnis der im nächsten Abschnitt folgenden Wissensmanagementmodellen, wichtig. Anschlie end werden die kollektiven, materiellen und personellen Wissensträger dargestellt. Mit der Definition des Begriffs Wissensmanagement fängt der nächste Abschnitt an. In Folge dessen werden zwei Wissensmanagementmodelle vorgestellt, die einen Überblick über den Wissenstransfer bzw. die Wissenssicherung verschaffen. Es wird zunächst das von Nonaka und Takeuchi entwickelte Modell der Wissensspirale, auch SECII-Modell genannt, betrachtet. Dabei werden die vier Interaktionsmuster (Sozialisation, Externalisierung, Kombination und Internalisierung) näher erläutert. Dieses Modell ist als theoretische Grundlage besonders von Bedeutung, da die Autoren Nonaka und Takeuchi (2012) beschreiben, wie implizites Wissen (Erfahrungswissen) in explizites Wissen umgewandelt wird.
