Hadjicostandi-Anang, Joanna: - Dr. Joanna Hadjicostandi-Anang is a professor of sociology at the University of Texas Permian Basin. She holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in sociology from Northeastern University. Her research interests and publications are in international development, inequality, women in labor markets, migration, refugees, oral histories, drug use and abuse, and the intersection of gender, race, ethnicity, and social class. She is the recipient of the Texas Statewide Piper Academic Achievement Award, the Award for Student Success, the Outstanding Service Award, the UT System Chancellor's Outstanding Teacher Award, and the La Mancha Research Award.
