A nightmare, anxiety attack, or bad trip?

A woman is seemingly trapped in a feverish dream, attempting to navigate through a distorted world in a stumbling language, struggling to comprehend what's happening around her:

"No one speaks my language here... I'm sweating, even though it's actually quite cold. I think I have a fever..."

"I see their smiles, I hear their friendly voices, but I KNOW what they feel!"

"Wretched" is written by Henrik Rehr, one of the most active Danish series creators of the last 30 years, and illustrated by Jan Solheim, whose superior line work demonstrates why he is one of the country's most sought-after illustrators.

Henrik Rehr (born in 1964 in Denmark). Rehr has been working in comics since 1984, initially being published in Scandinavia, but in 1989 he took over the classic newspaper strip Ferd'nand, which was published in 100 papers across the globe. His tenure on Ferd'nand ended in 2006, when the strip ended. Rehr has since been doing art for the strips Beetle Bailey and Petzi. Aside from his work on existing characters, Rehr has also published 35 graphic novels since 1987, among them Denmark Besat, Swøm!, Tribeca Sunset, Reykjavik, Bloodwedding, Gavrilo Princip, La Chute de Cuba, Leon et Sofia Tolstoi and Dostoievski, Le Soleil Noir. Rehr's work has been published in 17 languages.
He has been living with his family in New York City since 1992.

Jan Solheim (born 1971 in Copenhagen, Denmark) is a Danish illustrator and comics artist. For more than 30 years he has been working professionally in illustration, comics, storyboarding, and animation design. Solheim has contributed to various comics anthologies and educational books and is perhaps best known for his childrens book work, for which he has received several awards.
