This book is for all who have experienced love and yearning in their lives, who are able to smile through tears and conceal the sufferings of their souls behind that laughter. Yearning for Paradise follows the hero who finds his lost love and together they begin the path of return to the Garden of Paradise and at-one-ment with the once forsaken Lord. From medieval to modern times, from Mexico and Moscow to Mississippi, this magical mystery tour defies the boundaries of time and space. Mikhail Morgulis shows us how in our search to be reunited with the Father that love can conquer all. Yet it is we who must make that effort to do good and battle evil in this life. For the novel reminds us of the words of John F. Kennedy: "asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth, God's work must truly be our own."

Mikhail Morgulis is a Russian writer, editor and evangelist who broadcasts the word of God to millions of Russian speakers across the globe. Born in Kiev Mikhail attended Kiev University and holds an M.A. from Norwich University (Vermont, USA). His first collection of stories, It's Hope's Turn appeared in 1972. In 1977 he emigrated to the United States where he contributed to and edited Russian language newspapers and journals. In 1982 he moved to Chicago where he helped establish the Slavic Gospel Press and began a series of spiritual radio broadcasts to the Soviet Union, beginning with his own literary novellas, Farewell, Cranes and The Fate of the Clown. In 1989 he published in English his Return to the Red Planet: 22 Days in Gorbachev's Backyard. Mikhail was one of the first Russian evangelists to broadcast in the Russian language via Soviet television inside the Soviet Union. He continues his work today through Christian Bridges International and his Spiritual Diplomacy Foundation located in North Port, Florida.
