The author recounts the story of her awakening to Spirit's love, beginning with a mystical experience where an energy of such immense power and love burst through her that, for the first time in her life, she felt truly loved. You Are Dearly Loved also addresses the issue of how the culture can make it difficult to remember who we really are-infinite awareness and infinite love.

Sheila Dempsey is an educator who has always encouraged people to look for deeper truths in the events of life and to think for themselves, whether in teaching college psychology courses or in presentations on spiritual topics. She has a Ph.D. in psychology from Fordham University and an M.Ed. in counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. With her first transformative, mystical experience she began to meditate and study eastern spiritual traditions, and she now does spiritual-intuitive work in which she accesses the spiritual realm to give healing messages from Spirit. The desire to share Spirit's message of love with larger groups of people motivated her to write this book. She's also madly in love with animals, and she feels that the raising of consciousness that is now occurring on the planet is affecting animals as well as humans.
