The inspiration behind the Nanny Series books is Robinson's own personal experiences living next door to her Nanny and growing up having such wonderful examples of both grandmother and mother; oh how that enriched her childhood greatly giving Robinson lots of wonderful memories to put into words. You Can Have Mine is dedicated to Robinson's mother, Helen who embodies selflessness and generosity.
