Um die Bewegung eines materiellen Objekts (beispielsweise eines Radlers)zu beschreiben, bedarf es der vier Dimensionen von Raum und Zeit. In weiterem Sinn bedeutet Bewegung "Leben", Erstarrung hingegen "Tod". Beim Radeln durch die niederbayerische Pampa lässt der Autor seine Gedanken schweifen und sinniert über "Bewegung" und die Natur der "Zeit" und wie beide wohl zusammenhängen. So entwirft er anhand von Körpererfahrungen, aktuellen Beobachtungen und Erinnerungen an seine Nachkriegsbiografie seine eigene "Kleine Geschichte der Zeit" (S. Hawking), die einen Bogen schlägt von unserem subjektiven Zeitempfinden bis zur sogenannten "objektiven" Raumzeit. Er kommt dabei zu dem Ergebnis, dass "Raum" und "Zeit" nur für ein Bewusstsein, einen Beobachter existieren, der "Räumlichkeit" (etwa den Abstand zweier materieller Objekte von einander) betrachtet und "Zeit" wiederum als Bewegung (oder Veränderung)dieser Objekte im Raum wahrnimmt. Dies macht die grundsätzliche Subjektivität oder "Relativität" der Zeit aus.

Eduard Parow (geb. 8.11.1941) studierte bei Adorno und Habermas Soziologie in Frankfurt/M.. Von 1969 bis 1977 Dozent für Sozialpädagogik an der Universität Hamburg; Promotion; mehrere wissenschaftliche Veröffentlichungen. Seit 1979 lebt der Autor als Handwerker, Grafiker und Möbelbauer in lockerem Kollektiv auf einem Hof in Niederbayern.
