Das bedeutet, dass zwei unterschiedliche bewegte Beobachter eine Zeitspanne, die zwischen denselben Ereignissen liegt, als verschieden lang empfinden können. Bei der Zeittheorie sind die Gedankenmodelle der speziellen und der allgemeinen Relativitätstheorie zu unterscheiden. Das eben genannte Zeit-Empfindungsmodell ist der speziellen Relativitätstheorie zuzuordnen. Die allgemeine Relativitätstheorie handelt von beschleunigten Systemen und definiert die Gravitation als eine Krümmung von Raum und Zeit. Die Krümmung resultiert aus der Existenz von Massen.1 Kurt Gödel erfand die Weltformel für Zeitreisen auf der Grundlage von Einsteins Relativitätstheorie. Stephen Hawking schwankt zwischen der Machbarkeit von Zeitreisen und deren Verneinung. Roy Kerr versucht die Existenz von Schwarzen Löchern zu beweisen, während Kip Thorne darüber reflektiert, wie ein Wurmloch beschaffen sein müsse, damit man durch die Zeit reisen kann. Aktuelle Visionen von dem Bau einer Zeitmaschine stellen die Physiker Amos Ori und Ronald L. Mallett vor.2 Auf der Grundlage der Zeitreisen-Philosophie ergibt sich die Frage, u. a. auch resultierend aus der Forschung mit dem Teilchenbeschleuniger LHC (Large Hadron Collider) am CERN (Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire)3 in der Schweiz, inwieweit Zeitreisen realisierbar sind und welche neurologischen und das menschliche Bewusstsein betreffende Faktoren im Rahmen der Kausalitätsproblematik relevant sind.
