Die vorliegende Studie stellt dar, wie diese Ent-Chronologisierung im audiovisuellen Text stattfindet und welche Möglichkeiten der Zeitwechsel dem Medium bietet. Ein Vergleich der TV-Serie LOST mit dem Film ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND verdeutlicht die Differenzen bei diesen unterschiedlichen Erzählformen und zeigt auf, wie sich diese auf die Rezeption ausüben, bzw. welche Herausforderungen und analytischen Fähigkeiten an die Zuschauer gestellt werden.

Sandra Jasmin Garthaus, M.A., wurde 1985 in Recklinghausen geboren. Ihr Studium der Medienwissenschaften an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum schloss die Autorin im Jahre 2011 mit dem akademischen Grad Master of Arts erfolgreich ab. Bereits während des Studiums sammelte die Autorin umfassende praktische Erfahrungen in der Medienbranche, wobei ein besonderes Interesse an den medienspezifischen Erzählformen entstand. Insbesondere die Faszination an verschachtelten, nicht der Chronologie folgenden Erzählungen in Filmen, veranlasste sie zu der vorliegenden Studie.
