Beim Zerteilen der Stangen gewinnt das Scheren besonders bei gro en Werk- stückzahlen immer mehr an Bedeutung, da die Scherzeiten kurz sind und kein Werkstoff verlorengeht. Nachteilig sind verschiedene Mängel an den gescherten Abschnitten, die ein Weiterverarbeiten der Werkstücke häufig erschweren oder unmöglich machen. Ein gro er Teil dieser Mängel ist auf eine ungenügende Kenntnis des Verfahrens, seiner Möglichkeiten und Grenzen zurückzuführen. Das geht auch daraus hervor, da bisher kaum Schrifttum über das Zerteilen von Stangen durch Abscheren vorliegt. Wesentliche Fragen sind ungeklärt, wie eine umfangreiche Ermittlung des Erkenntnisstandes zu Beginn der Arbeit ergab. Zwei besonders den Fertigungstechniker und den Konstrukteur interessierende Aufgaben sind vordringlich: 1. Fertigung geometrisch richtiger bzw. weiterverarbeitbarer Stangenabschnitte durch Scheren. 2. Ermittlung der dabei in den Maschinen auftretenden Beanspruchungen als Grundlage für die Maschinenkonstruktion. Zu ihrer Lösung liefert die Arbeit einen Beitrag. Nach einer allgemeinen Beschreibung der geometrischen und kinematischen Mög- lichkeiten, Stangen durch Abscheren zu zerteilen, wurde die Aufgabe unter Berücksichtigung praktischer Belange eingeschränkt. Untersucht wurden acht Werkstoffe (Ma 8, Ck 15, Ck 35, Ck 45, Ck 60,41 Cr 4, AIMgSi 1, AICuMg 1) in neun Werkstück-Werkzeug-Kombinationen: Flachkantmesser scheren Recht- Ohne Werkstückhalter eck- u. Quadratquerschnitte (Freies Scheren) Spitzkantmesser scheren Mit Abschnitt- und Quadratquerschnitte Stangenhalter Rundkantmesser scheren Mit Stangenhalter Rundquerschnitte Für die gewählten Messerformen wurden Schneidwinkel und Koordinatensysteme in Anlehnung an die für die Zerspantechnik genormten Begriffe definiert. Die Scherversuche wurden in einer handelsüblichen Knüppelschere für 400 Mp Scherkraft und einer eigens für die Aufgabe gebauten Schervorrichtung für 150 Mp Scherkraft durchgeführt.
