Hinweise auf ein angeborenes Sprachorgan werden hierbei diskutiert. Insbesondere soll in Bezug auf den Spracherwerb auch auf die Universalgrammatik eingegangen werden. Um das theoretische Gerüst dieser Grammatik darzulegen, wird anschlie end das Generieren von Sätzen im Sinne der Generativen Grammatik betrachtet. Zudem sollen unterschiedliche Ausprägungen zum Modell der Generativen Grammatik anhand von zwei Weiterentwicklungen Chomskys beschrieben werden. Als eine der wichtigsten Eigenschaften benennt Chomsky die Vielfalt von sprachlichen Äu erungen, die vom Sprecher kreativ gebildet werden. Es gibt unendlich viele Möglichkeiten mit dem gegebenen Wortschatz korrekte Sätze zu erzeugen. Er stellt sich die Frage, wie diese vielfältigen grammatischen Strukturen im Gehirn verankert sind. Diese Leistung des menschlichen Gehirns, ausgehend vom Spracherwerb, führt Chomsky zu der Annahme, dass Spracherfahrungen allein nicht ausreichen, um eine Sprache vollständig mit all ihren grammatischen Strukturen zu erlenen. Daher geht er von der Existenz eines Sprachorgans, welches jeder Mensch in sich trägt, aus.
