Dieser betriebliche Prozess kann jedoch nur ablaufen, wenn finanzielle Mittel zur Verfügung stehen. Wie erhält ein Bauunternehmen das notwendige Kapital? Unter welchen finanziellen Randbedingungen erfolgt die laufende Auftragserstellung und wie kann die Produktionsfähigkeit der Firma langfristig gesichert werden? Diesen Fragen „Zur Finanzierung von Baufirmen" wird unter Betrachtung des „Einsatz(es) von Eigenmitteln, Liquidität und Sicherheiten zur Finanzierung von Betriebsausstattung, Vorfinanzierung unfertiger Leistungen und Bürgschaften" im Rahmen der Diplomarbeit nachgegangen. Gang der Untersuchung: Dazu ist die Arbeit grob in die drei Hauptaufgaben der Unternehmungsfinanzierung - der Kapitalbeschaffung, der Kapitalverwaltung und der Kapitalverwendung - untergliedert. Um die Problematik der Finanzierung einer Firma der Baubranche zu verdeutlichen, wurden zu Beginn die Besonderheiten des ausführenden Baubetriebes herausgearbeitet. In Hinblick auf die Möglichkeiten der Kapitalbeschaffung wird neben den sich ergebenden finanzwirtschaftlichen Zielen auch dargestellt, wie das Eigenkapital (als Geld und Sachkapital) der deutschen Unternehmen derzeit strukturiert ist und wie sich die Eigenheiten des Bausektors auf die Kapitalstruktur der Unternehmen auswirken. Im dritten Kapitel findet die Frage, wie und von wem welche Finanzmittel auf Grund welcher Sicherheitsleistungen bereitgestellt werden, Beantwortung. Die Kapitalverwaltung im Rahmen der laufenden Auftragsfinanzierung wird wesentlich von dem Zahlungsverhalten der Auftraggeber beeinflusst. Aus diesem Grund wird das Zahlungssystem der Baubranche und das Forderungsmanagement in Hinblick auf die Auswirkung auf die Liquidität des Unternehmens im vierten Kapitel betrachtet.
