Mit dem Glauben ist ihr Lebenswille zerbrochen; auf die Verherrlichung der Tat, vom Nationalsozialismus als hochstes ethisches Ideal gepriesen, folgt nun das entgegengesetzte Extrem: Stagnation und Tatenlosigkeit. So traurig unsere durch die nationalsozialistische Mmwirtschaft geschaffene Lage und das allgemeine Bild der Zerstorung auch ist, so darf und mu13 der deutsche Mensch weiterleben, wenn auch in einer von ihm erst zu schaffenden neuen Umwelt und nach neuen Idealen. Er mu13 sich sein Leben neu aufbauen und kann dabei eines - an der zunachst trostlosen Wirklichkeit gelauterten - Optimismus nicht entraten. Deutschland hat schon mehrfach in seiner Geschichte seine hochsten kulturellen Leistungen zu Zeiten tiefster politischer Zerrissenheit erlebt.
