Felicia's practice of "cooperative competition" has been a cornerstone of her career since becoming a massage therapist in 1994. Felicia has won many awards for her business acumen and industry involvement including: 2011 Volunteer of the Year (American Massage Conference); 2009 Spa Person of the Year (Day Spa Association); 2005 Small Business Person of the Year (Greensboro Chamber of Commerce); Top Entrepreneurs of 2009/Top 25 Movers & Shakers of 2008 (Business Leader Magazine), 2007 National Volunteer Committee of the Year (American Massage Therapy Association), 2004 Women in Business (The Business Journal); & 2003 Forty Leaders Under Forty (The Business Journal). This is Felicia's first book. Since the first edition came out, she has also published Reflections of My Heart: A Poetic Journey of Love, Life, Heartbreak and Healing and has contributed to numerous other industry publications and books. Her third book The Sunflower Princess: A Healing Fairy Tale will be available in October 2014. Her blog, www.ZenVersusZin.com documents her journey of exploring sobriety and is the "pre-quel" to her planned book of the same name which is due out in 2015. Felicia makes her home in Greensboro, NC. In her spare time, Felicia is a casually competitive tri-athlete and also enjoys yoga, reading, cooking, travel, and spa/travel adventures of most any sort.
