Das Lexikon wendet sich an den Praktiker, daher haben wir uns bemuht, auch auf die Ausdrucksweise der Praxis abzustellen. Da es sich bei der Mate- rialwirtschaft urn einen Bereich handelt, der in der Entwicklung (und Auspdi- gung) begriffen ist, bestehen in Wissenschaft und Praxis noch keine einheitli- chen Definitionen der Begriffe. Teilweise werden in der Fachliteratur ver- schiedene Verfahren unter gleichen Begriffen beschrieben oder fUr gleiche Verfahren andere Begriffe verwendet. In der Praxis haben sich u. a. auch firmenintern besondere Bezeichnungen und Begriffe entwickelt, auf die im Einzelfall versHindlicherweise auch nicht eingegangen werden konnte. Sollte daher ein Suchwort nicht vorhanden sein, so sollte man unter benachbarten Begriffen nachschlagen.
