Hollenberg, Sandra (Sammy): - Sammy Hollenberg was born during a snowstorm in a pick-up truck in Saskatchewan. This perhaps should have been a hint to her parents: from the moment she arrived, Sammy was bound to shake things up.

When she started her career as a musician, she hit the road with her band and performed for audiences throughout the Prairies. That is how she met her husband, Jack Hollenberg. After touring North America together, Sammy and Jack spent eight years in Europe writing and performing music. Eventually, they found their way back to Saskatchewan. Upon returning to Canada, Sammy went to culinary school and graduated with honours and a scholarship. Thus, Sammy's Cottage Kitchen was born; soon, it grew into a catering company and television series that garnered thousands of fans.
